Broadband over Power
Sales of broadband over power products have been increasing by 100% in the past year with new speeds and capabilities being introduced offering up to 200mbs of bandwidth. The recent CES show in Las Vegas saw an expanded lineup of such products based on the Homeplug AV standard announced by many vendors, including the inclusion of Homeplug AV ready wireless routers and gateways that make solutions to access issues a matter of plug and play! Homeplug technology is ideal for home use, hospitality and for IP Surveillance needs where it may not be easy to provide network access via traditional methods of cabling or using xDSL technologies, if you have not considered this technology before now you might want to read a brief overview of its capabilities and future direction published late last year in Computerworld and ARN .
