| The intelligence inside MOBOTIX IP cameras enables you to record directly to Network Attached Storage (NAS). No other IP camera on the market can do this!
Recent bench-testing has shown the Iomega 150D and the Iomega 200rl can handle up to 12 and 18 MOBOTIX cameras cameras respecitively. The Adaptec 410 and 520 have both confirmed up to 30 MOBOTIX cameras. This test was based on constant recording at 1.3 megapixel resolution at the highest frame rate setting, using RAID 5 configuration. The intelligence inside MOBOTIX IP cameras enables recording directly to a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device without the need for a seperate surveillance server. This will save you time when installing, energy when operating and money continuously while being friendlier to the environment.

Managing the video surveillance
MxControlCenter is a free video management software application from MOBOTIX. MxControlCenter enables you to instantly access live images from the MOBOTIX cameras and also intelligently search through recorded video footage stored on the NAS device. You can do this from any number of computers - remotely via an Internet connection or via the local computer network.
Benefits of recording to NAS
Using NAS for storing the video footage eliminates the expense of paying for a Windows PC and ‘per-camera licensed' recording software, plus:
- lower cost per Gigabyte
- easier to install/configure
- more energy-efficient
- no software licensing costs
- more reliable than a Windows PC
